Personal project I decided to do myself in my spare time. The Iceman Tapes: Conversations with a Killer is a documentary about a serial killer. "Richard Kuklinski was a devoted husband, loving father--and ruthless killer of over 100 people. You'll meet him in this powerful documentary that features one of the most vivid and disturbing interviews ever recorded--taped behind the walls of the prison where Kuklinski is serving two consecutive life sentences for multiple homicide." My tasks include: • Translation of dialogues, signs, and titles played in the show. • Applied research techniques to master source text terminology, minimizing translation inaccuracies. • Ensuring translations respect cultural nuances, especially when handling sensitive or graphic subject matter. • Create subtitles according to standard professional subtitling guidelines, such as characters per second limits. • Conducted quality assurance checks and proofreading to identify and correct grammatical, spelling, and translation errors. • Synchronize subtitles with audio.
